We converted these 2 tenement buildings into 14 serviced apartments. The buildings were previously vacated commercial offices that occupied the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor with cellular accommodation and an unconverted roof space. To maximise the serviced apartment accommodation, we removed the existing roof, remodelling a new improved one to accommodate a further level of apartments on this floor. We designed 3 flats within this 5th/ roof top level along with a substantial plant space and service store for changeovers. The flats are compact with mini kitchens, shower rooms and living, dining and bedroom spaces, most have a principal view to the north over Waverley station and towards Princes Street Gardens. The apartments are perfectly located for connectivity and sightseeing and are run by the successful Destiny Scotland Serviced apartment operator.
