The project comprises the refurbishment of MacKenzie House a Category B listed former Edinburgh Academy boarding house, with two 4 storey new build residential blocks located in the gap sites on either side. The new buildings were designed to achieve a sympathetic scale and use of materials to its existing neighbours on Kinnear Road. The development consists of a total of 8 flats and 1 townhouse across the 3 separate buildings with private gardens overlooking extensive recreation grounds and parkland to the south, as well as off street parking.
