8 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh

Situated on the leafy north side of Charlotte Square, we were commissioned to design a ‘light touch’ refurbishment scheme for this beautiful Listed townhouse. New internal re-decoration including new lighting, new carpets in circulation and office spaces.  We were inspired by the painted ceiling in the ground floor boardroom with its palette of muted green and golds and from this created a new colour palette for the entire townhouse unifying the spaces into one coherent colourway. The result is a relaxed and sophisticated interior which exploits its many beautiful features such as decorative fireplaces and cornices. The building was most recently home to Chanel, where guests were able to enjoy Chanel’s pop up store in the salubrious surroundings of Robert Adam’s Charlotte Square architecture.
